In 1951, Neville Goddard gave a series of talks on the Los Angeles radio station KECA. These nine talks are rather brief and direct compared to some of Neville’s other lectures. They cover many topics less discussed in his other lectures, such as how to meditate and the importance of “least effort.”

Be What You Wish; Be What You Believe
In this talk, Neville discusses how your conception of yourself in the present is what manifests your life.
Everything depends upon our attitude towards ourselves. That which we will not affirm as true of ourselves will not develop in our lives.

By Imagination We Become
Here, Neville notes that imagination is constantly shaping your experience, whether you use it deliberately or not, so you must learn to direct it intentionally rather than letting it wander.
Today is the day to practice the control and discipline of your imagination. Man is only limited by weakness of attention and poverty of imagination. The great secret is a controlled imagination and a well-sustained attention, firmly and repeatedly focused on the object to be accomplished.

Answered Prayer
In “Answered Prayer,” Neville teaches the correct way to prayer to get the desired results. He also discusses the inverse correlation between effort and successful manifestation when it comes to praying, an important concept to understand.
Prayer is, above all things, easy. Its greatest enemy is effort. The mighty surrenders itself fully only to that which is most gentle.
Meditation
If you have ever wondered if Neville Goddard taught how to meditate, the answer is yes, he did! In this talk, Neville discusses the importance of practicing regular meditation in order to attain mastery over your attention and imagination.
Meditation, as in every art or expression, requires constant practice for perfect results.
The Law of Assumption
In this talk, Neville expounds on the meditation process and explains the Law of Assumption. The is Law states that the reality we experience as individuals is entirely based upon our subjective assumptions. So if you change your assumptions, you manifest a changed reality.
What you see when you look at something depends not so much on what is there as on the assumption you make when you look. Therefore, the assumption of the wish fulfilled should make you see the world mentally as you would physically, were your assumption a physical fact.

Truth
Neville explains what “truth” actually is and why it is not based in so-called facts, but in imagination and love. He also describes how both Love and Fear are creative powers.
Never are we so blind to the truth as when we see things as they seem to be. Only pictures that idealize really depict the truth.
Stone, Water or Wine?
In this fascinating talk, Neville discusses how to properly interpret the Bible, noting that it is to be understood as “mystical” and not literal.
The stories conceal an underlying meaning, and the task of scripture interpretation is to discover these psychological truths which are expressed in this symbolism. We, here, are not concerned with the surface meaning of the Scripture, whether it be reasonable or absurd, for in no case does it constitute the inner truth we are seeking.

Feeling is the Secret
Bearing the same title as one of Neville’s books, this radio talk “Feeling is the Secret” gives a brief overview of the importance of feeling to manifest desires.
We all regard feelings far too much as effects, and not sufficiently as causes of the events of the day. Feeling is not only the result of our conditions of life, it is also the creator of those conditions.

Affirm The Reality of Our Own Greatness
Neville drives home the point in this talk that manifestation boils down to the conception you hold of yourself. All change in our world begins within.
The essential revolution must happen within ourselves. Everything depends on our attitude towards ourself; that which we will not affirm within ourself can never develop in our world.
